To be perfectly honest, the last time I was ever hyped for anything Pokemon-related was for the Gold/Silver generation. Still, it's always interesting to see what new species the franchise is coming out with, and I still play and enjoy the games as new generations release. I don't think I can say much about Zoroark itself yet though; I never really have much of an impression on particular Pokemon until after I actually encounter it in a game.

As for deviantART, well, Internets will be Internets :P Personally, I'm sure it's a fad of "OMG new Pokemon generation! I have to be among the first to draw one!" Happens similarly with a lot of other series too.
