List the following three in order of preference, plus anything else you might like in terms of setting: Contemporary, Scifi, Fantasy
Totally indifferent to what the setting is tbh. My interest in all of them is how they relate to the real world. You can set your story inside an empty milk cartoon for all I care so long as your story draws deliberate comparisons with the real world

How many light novels (not light novel adaptations) have you read? Do you think the English animanga fanbase will ever develop an original english light novel market of its own?
Let's see...
I own all of the Haruhi novels out in English, Book Girl volume 1, Zaregoto 1 and 2, Ballad of a Shinigami 1 and 2, Boogiepop (the four volumes out in English), Spice & Wolf 1-3, and Keili 1 and 2, which I won't be buying any more of.
Sister owns the first volume of Kino no Tabi, a series I desperately wish they would have continued to translate. I will eventually get that book for myself. I hope.
I have read fan translations of Sword Art Online, parts of Durarara!!, parts of Bakatest, parts of Oreimo, and the first Toradora novel, whose translation was so terrible and actual story so irritatingly /anime/ that I could not continue. I have Fate/zero on my Kindle now, to be touched at some point.
As for the second question, light novels are rather niche even within the anime community, so I doubt it, and if it happened it would not be for a long time. It would not be successful. English animanga fans have not even been successful in developing a manga market for themselves, so yeah.
I also sort of hope they would not be successful. I am really not a fan of light novels. Some of them are very good, but others are...very bad. The simple writing style does not really appeal to me, so it's the ones that are not so "light" that I prefer to read. -
What is your BIGGEST Turn-on?? :D
The ability to wield a sword.

Question for the anibloggers, especially the episodic ones: what drives you to blog? if there's one style one can identify your blog by (especially from the others), what would it be? what made you choose that style of blogging?
What drives me to blog (before I died lol): Partly the knowledge that I'm improving my writing skills, partly for pure e-peen, but largely because it increases my overall knowledge of anime. Nothing forces you to understand a novel like writing an essay on it, right? Same goes for anime.
Style: Informal where it counts. Ideally, my content would be up to par with the most formal pseudo-academic blogs, but I want my writing to feel like it was written by an anime fan. I hate the wall between reader and writer in "proper" newspaper editorials and reviews. I hope that my posts read as though they were written by someone who actually cares about anime, not by some outsider looking in.
What made me choose it: It sorta happened naturally. I chose editorial blogging because it's quite literally relevant to my interests (which is obvious considering my field of study) and because, as I said, it forces me to learn about the shows I watch. Of course, I started blogging in high school so I couldn't (and still can't) keep up with the old dudes who run the big editorial blogs. And of course I'm still an ordinary moefag /a/non, far from the stereotypical editorial blogger. I think my style is a result of my odd combination of interests, coming from what should be two disparate sides of the fandom. -
What is your weakness? (Sorry if you already got this. The second time around is for my followers in general.)
The Sun. *shakes fist at Sun*

What do you think is the biggest difference between Far Eastern and Western culture?
emphasis on self v. emphasis on the collective

If you could produce any one new anime series, either something you really want see adapted or an original production, with whatever studio/staff you want, what would it be about? Whom would you like to get to produce this (studio/staff wise)?
Daifuuku the Anime with P.A. Works

What's the best piece of advice you've ever been given, and who gave it to you?
Formspring question of the day
Be compassionate. It does pay.

Is it true that when you fall in love , sometimes you look like an idiot? :)
It is true. But you probably won't care that you acted like an idiot, unless you fall out of love.

This is a difficult one. Sticking to my interests, I guess I'd want to see an original Jun Maeda story directed by Shinbo. I'm apathetic to Comedy Shinbo (Pani Poni, Zetsubou Sensei) but I love Drama Shinbo (Madoka, ef). Since we're talking dream-team, throw in the background animators who were in charge of creating "that Key look" that permeates KyoAni's adaptations, plus some Makoto Shinkai backgrounds where they don't clash with the rest of the visuals. Dunno who I'd want as the composer so I guess I'll go for a geneic Good Person like Kajiura. I don't know enough about sakuga to pick specific animators. Studio doesn't matter as long as they have money, but we know KyoAni has money so I'll probably go with them.
Oh, right, story. Um... who cares? Make up some nakige tear-jerker about dead and/or dying girls and tell it with forceful visual metaphors and a surreal atmosphere and I'm sure I'll like it. -
If you knew for sure the world really was going to end tomorrow... what would you do today? What about tomorrow?
This is tough because my family and friends are scattered across countries and oceans. I would buy them plane tickets to come to me I guess!!!

I think three things in particular. First, I would just want to cherish every moment with my wife and kids - forget getting angry about little things and just really enjoy being with one another, which is how we should live life typically (unfortunately, our imperfect selves often don't allow us to live a life of love). Secondly, I think we'd spend a lot of time praying. Finally, I think I'd drum up the courage to talk to my loved ones who aren't Christian and try (or try again) to tell them about Jesus Christ and salvation.
