I've spent my whole life learning English; I even have a degree in it! How many cool points do I get?

lol Well it depends on the situation. If I'm crossplaying then I'm totally fine with it. I mean, isn't the point of crossplaying to look like a guy? I feel I've done my job right if that happens. Now if I'm walking down the street in normal attire and someone calls me mister, then I have a problem. XD

      ODDISH!
How can you not love that adorable little sprout? He's seriously been my favorite since around third grade when the series first came out. He's a bit of an underdog in terms of battling but if you train him right, he can be a worthy advisory. I was battling my bf awhile back and he made fun of my Oddish, Noodle. Noodle ended up beating half his team and now he doesn't make fun of Oddish anymore. lol

That's a big question, but I'll break it down into a few simple steps.

      1. Buy fabric
      2. Stare at fabric hoping it will sew itself
      3. Cut fabric
      4. Hope you didn't screw up step 3
      5. Procrastinate
      6. Sew something
      7. Seam rip it apart
      8. Repeat 6 and 7 several more times
      9. Cry
      10. Procrastinate
      11. Realize con is tomorrow
      12. Cry some more
      13. Abandon sewing machine for hot glue
      14. MAGIC
      15. Costume is done

Well most of my friends are either cosplayers, nerds, or creative people in general so that's not an issue. If someone who I'm not as familiar with asks me about hobbies, like a coworker, I usually tell them that I make costumes. Normally they find that pretty interesting and just relate it to my wanting to get into the film industry, even though that's not the case.

Only one coworker has ever judged me for it and I put him in his place. He said that every year, him and his dad go downtown to make fun of cosplayers at SDCC. I personally think it's pretty rude to go out of your way to sit and make fun of innocent people enjoying their day. I told him that in a couple of words and I haven't heard any smack out of him since. I personally don't tolerate rude people. A hobby is a hobby. Just because you don't like it, doesn't mean it's stupid, lame or a waste of time and it certainly doesn't give you the right to be blatantly rude to me or anyone else.

I get this question so often but the story isn't very interesting so I feel bad telling it. lol
I believe it was about ten years ago I created a series of characters for a book I was working on. One of the characters, who happened to be a favorite, was named Ai due to her sweet nature. Unfortunately she had a split personality which was demented and ruthless and that side of her was called anti-Ai. For the love of my original character I wanted my new screen name to be Ai-chan. The chan was added due to my kawaii desu weeaboo-ness at the time. Sadly, Ai-chan was a very popular handle so I went with her other persona, Anti Ai-chan, and that just seemed to stick. Tah dah!

It was Seth front Trinity Blood but I've already made that. =/ If I'm going to shoot for the stars on a dream cosplay I may as well pick Noble Gundam from G Gundam. lol Actually, any gundam from that show would be awesome but Noble Gundam has a sailor fuku and fights with a ribbon; how fantastic is that? XD

Well I don't attend as many anymore since I have rent and bills to pay. But I don't usually pay for a badge so that cuts down on the cost and I split the room costs with friends. I try to save up as much as I can during the year so most of my extra money that people would normally spend on new clothes, movies, etc are spent on cosplay and cons.

Well it's hard to say how much effort someone puts into something. A novice could put in a lot of hours and effort into a costume but it may still not be perfect as they don't have the skills or knowledge to make things properly. Likewise, someone who is advanced at sewing might whip up something quick with little effort and it would turn out amazing. That being said, I don't think you can judge someone on effort unless you personally know them.

But anyway! I guess it can be a little frustrating when a hot girl with a great body buys a costume and gets thousands of followers or something, but that's not why I cosplay nor is it why I started a cosplay page. I cosplay because I enjoy the character and love to create things. I made a page because I like to keep my personal life private so having one strictly for cosplay allows me to meet new people without risking personal information leaking onto the internet. I don't cosplay for fame or popularity. If something like that comes out it, great, but that's not my intention. I'm happy with the costumes I make and the characters I choose to cosplay whether male, female, adult, teen or child.

As far as DC goes, I want to do Zatanna at some point and probably Lady Blackhawk. If my boyfriend ever decides to do Flash, I might make a Kid Flash, Impulse or Jessie Quick to go with him but I'm not sure which one. I've also considered Stephanie Brown Batgirl and Scarlet if I found a Red Hood but I suppose they are both in the Batman family. I guess I just really enjoy Batman characters, especially those adorable Robins. lol I'm always open to suggestions if you have any. =3

It's called Heat n' Bond and it comes in different sized sheets as well as stick strength. They have a lighter strength stick which is intended for you to sew through or there's a heavy duty one where you should not sew through or it will kill your needle. Yes, that is me speaking from experience. lol
