My biggest challenge is definitely delegating my time. I have a very busy lifestyle, and just when I think it can't get busier, somehow it does. I've really had to work to figure out how to have healthy downtime. Meaning, to find ways to relax in a rejuvenative way, rather than just going catatonic. :)

I consider myself a spiritual agnostic. I have faith in fate, in the Universe. I Trust. That is all. I have a hard time putting a name to it, and so rarely bother...

Eclectic. Colorful. Ornate.

I had an insane dream last night. It was myself, my husband Damian, and my cohorts Caroline Oates, Katie Gilchrist, Tyson Schroeder, and Jason Dawson... We were sitting around the house, and started discussing some old abandoned schoolhouse out in the countryside nearby. We all piled in cars and drove to the edge of the woods. It was the middle of the night, and everything was lit just by moonlight. We started down a path (which we though would lead to the abandoned building, but instead it led to a cluster of little whitewashed huts on stilts, surrounding a gravely courtyard. Little dogs ran out from under some of the houses, and we weren't sure if they were occupied, so we decided to walk up the train tracks instead. We began encountering a series of crazy hobos, as we walked towards a tunnel we met one that just mumbled "beerbeerBeerBEERbeer" over and over, until he started harassing us, asking where all of our glitter was... As we continued on the tunnel became an old subway tunnel with electric lighting and it opened into a Versailles-like building which had been turned into a museum of oddities, with live animals, and oddities both animal and human. We were scheduled to perform. Heh.
...What made this dream so crazy was all of the intense imagery, so that's a bit hard to convey. But it was intense and weird and wonderful. -
Ouch. This is a tough one... There are so many great performers, and they are all so unique. I would have to say, though, that Jo "Boobs" Weldon is a huge influence and inspiration to me. I've take her workshops in New York, studied her book cover to cover, and found her to be not only a lovely, savvy, and delectable performance artist and business woman, but also a truly wonderful and endearing person as well.

I don't have a conventional college degree. After high school I apprenticed with a Master Herbalist for about five years, and went on to help open Kansas City's only dedicated herb shop. Then I became more and more interested in performance art. I have taken lots of classes on various forms of dance, and clowning. I try to pay attention to what life puts in front of me, and learn all I can, every day!

Any date with my husband.

Kansas City, of course! We got it all... History, intrigue, a central location. Heh. Our sports team sucks but if you're here for the sports you deserve whatever you get, suckers. We have a thriving cooperative arts scene here in out little-big city, and in my humble opinion, that's what matters! Go KC!

I loved 3:10 to Yuma. Little known fact: Annie Cherry hearts a good Western. My top five contemporary Westerns, you ask? In no particular order:
Dead Man
3:10 to Yuma
There Will Be Blood
Sukiyaki Western Django
Apaloosa -
Well, obviously the giant squid. Duh.

Bindlestiff Willy. Obviously. (But if I don't say that he'll probably smack me with a dead fish, or something... Um... So I guess I'll go with... Johnny Depp? Robert Downey Jr.? So trite. True, but trite. Hmmm... Must come up with something edgy and amusing, think... THINK! Okay, okay, I'll go with... ) Aw crap! Was I thinking out loud again? How embarrassing!!!

Well, last night I made a gumbo-style dish for one Mister Bindlestiff Willy. Sauteed onions, red beans and rice, pan fried spicy cilantro chicken sausage, and kale, all in a miso and chicken broth base. Tonight I'll probably grab dinner on the run. Busy girls have to eat, too!
