I think some people do it for attention but I think a lot of people are telling the truth. Maybe they had friends but were screwed over and no longer have friends. Maybe they never had friends. Maybe they don't consider the people they hang out with to be friends. Never assume, it always hurts someone.

I think it's a wonderful idea and it should happen more often. Not just because i have one, but because this illness is so undermined in society when society actually has a lot to do with it. Plus, it's almost the number one cause of deaths, it just shows up as heart attacks or kidney failure-things like that. I do know someone who has done this before with friends and family and it went well for her, but I will not give out names. I just wish people would recognize that not only cancer and other diseases (as terrible as they are) need help along the painful journey.
