In honor of National Teacher's Day I'd like to acknowledge a teacher that is someone quite dear to me; Gus Sermas, Professor of Fine Arts at West Chester University, PA.
Not only did Gus inspire me to look at Art in new and amazing ways, but he taught me how to be a classically trained artist at the same time. He's the funniest professor I've ever had as well. (coincidence? I think NOT!)
Gus...you are one in a million! Thank you from the bottom of my heart for helping cultivate my creativity and expanding my knowledge of painting, drawing, art history, technique, color theory, composition, everything!
I am what I am today because of your guidance and wisdom. -
