      I recently went to a party w/ new co workers, got drunk & embarrassed myself. I dirty danced w/ guys and kissed ppl. Everyone's gossiping & making up even worse rumors. Now no one will respect me. Im so ashamed, how can I ever hold my head up around them?

      As people we are defined not by actions or accidents but by who we are intrinsically. Apologize for acting out of pocket and then keep it moving. Guilt, shame and fear are powerful motivators but they keep us from sharing who we really are with people and that's never a good thing.

      every time ive been in love, the guy has loved me first and I fell in love with the way he loved me. Do you think its a problem to love someone because they love you, is it a good enough reason?

      In the poem "21" you wrote "I guard my hands, not my heart" can you explain what this line means to you. It struck a cord with me and I've wondered about it for a long time.

      I am trying to grow out my natural hair. Please! Do you have any advice or know of a good source? Thank you.

      no i actually don't. i just let my hair do its thing without much fuss or concern though i don't use any products with sulfate and i often only use conditioner when washing my hair.

      Well then for a person who respects every religion, you are certainly not very respectful to the whole meaning of Islam.

      Plenty of my muslim friends don't have a problem with it. I certainly wouldnt be offended if a Muslim used part of the Lord's Prayer to make a point, asking God to intervene. But hey, you can't please everyone. It offends some Muslims that I fast for Ramadan though I don't practice Islam. I'm using it to make a point about the atrocities happening in Syria. It is a cry out for God. For him to make himself present in a situation where He seems to be absent. Lighten up my love. See the meaning of the poem for what it is. Its not a political or religious ploy. Its not an attempt to offend anyone. It is an invocation of God.

      I am Muslim and I find the last sentence of " for Syria' poem to be offensive. just saying. Let me tell you something about Islam, you must Always say the whole shahadad. Never leave the sentence incomplete.

      Sorry you find it offensive. I'm not changing it though.

      How are you able to choose Christianity over, say, Islam when you seem to recognise the universality of God/ The Source/ Allah? This is to say, why particularly this way of worship?

      I recognize God is the God of all. That doesn't mean that I believe that all paths are equivalent or equal. I do not believe in moral universality or relative truth. There is only one truth. I asked God how shall I serve him, as a Christian, as a Muslim or as something else entirely. God told me the only kind of love that matters is sacrificial love. Jesus's life is the archetype for sacrificial love. So I follow him.
