Well, what might be the case is that you're reading what he's saying the wrong way. What he might think is a friendly comment, might come across through text as not so friendly. I'd say that if he is friendly in person, then don't worry about how the IM comes across.

I think love is something much bigger and much more beautiful than what most high schoolers seem to think. At school, we're surrounded by people who think they love each other after dating for a week. So I suppose, I don't know what love exactly means to me. However, when I feel it, I know that its real.
