hmm i think it's important that artists know, esp ones in this burlesque market that no show theme belongs to them. burlesque and vaudeville has a long tradition of layers that make it appealing, and in a world where so much has been done and redone, it's hard not to do something that is currently being done. with that said great minds think a like. it would be nice and courteous if the other producer would respect boundaries and change around their format, but if talking doesn't work i say A. come up with a bigger or better idea or B. do your concept even better than theirs. if that doesn't work the only other choice is to drop out of the fight. producing is hard work, so good luck to anyone that can produce something long standing and profitable.
