Sollte Gartenzwergweitwurf olympische Disziplin werden? ^-^

Ich glaube nicht, dass sie sich außerhalb eines gutbürgerlichen Gartens wohlfühlen würden

If you met your 18-year-old self again, what one piece of advice would you give yourself?

      Don't waste time.

      Slytherin. <D

Can you explain to us non-dancers what exactly waacking is?

Hm. Its quite difficult to explain to those not so familiar with or into dance. There have been many different explanations. One I recently read that was nice and succinct: "Think Glamour, Grace, Funk and Arm Patterns!" Also here is a good interview video with one of the original practitioners in the style of waacking Tyrone Proctor (who danced on the famous US show "Soul Train") - answering this very question http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Cb0zQNK-meo#t=3m10s

My explanation? So... what I know of waacking and it's history is that Waacking originated in the early 70s - it was created in the gay, underground disco clubs of LA and was danced to underground disco music. It is a very theatrical and dramatic dance - influenced by the 50s silent movie actresses (eg Greta Garbo). It is a freestyle dance. The components of waacking include fast strong arm movements and hand/wrist flicks, poses (in the style of the 50s silent movies rather than 80s magazines), theatre & glamour, footwork and anything else you choose to inject into the dance from your own dance background that interprets the music. It doesn't HAVE to be danced to disco music but it is ideal to learn the style to disco music because that is how it was born. It is a fierce dance that requires PLENTY of attitude and character. And the reason I love it is because it is so freeing - it allows so much personal expression, particularly as a woman, expressing my femininity (none of this masculine gansta stuff you often see in other street dance styles) and strength. It is a really difficult dance to master because the musicality is so hard. To be able to hear and pick out the different instruments in a song, esp ones that the average person doesn't hear, when its flying by so fast.. and successfully waack on those rhythms. When you see someone who can do this (look up Princess Lockerooo) and you understand what they are doing, it is incredible to watch. This video on facebook is my favourite video of her: http://www.facebook.com/video/video.php?v=10150124495154696 but she has many on youtube too. Most famously she is on the current US "So You Think You Can Dance" season. Hopefully after this, more people will know about waacking. Coz I'm kinda starting to get tired of explaining to people what it is every time I mention it. :)

Warum ist "lang" so ein kurzes Wort?

      Weil Abkürzung ein langes ist.

    11. Darth Vader

Do you need a maid for your Death Star? Cuz im kinda available.

Sorry, we have those little floor polishing droids that do the job rather nicely. That being said, I hear the rebel base on Yavin IV is a pigsty. I also hear they don't check references. Seems like your kind of place.

    12. Darth Vader

Are there any beings in the galaxy more evil than yourself?

Yes, the entire corporate roster of BP comes to mind.

    13. Darth Vader

      Find that damn rebel base.

    14. Darth Vader

      do you miss kenobi?

If by "miss" you mean hate with the fiery passion of 1,000 super-nova, yes.

    15. Darth Vader

how old were you when you had your first boy/girlfriend?

Six years old. I was an early bloomer.

    16. Darth Vader

How can i get into your pants? ;)

You'll need a socket wrench, some WD-40 and an evil disposition.

    17. Darth Vader

      Are high school reunions awkward?

Not really because all the Jedi I went to school with are dead. That's what happens when you kill them.

      Die Waffen einer Frau :-)

Drunk randomers are hanging outside your house/flat being rowdy, if you were invulnerable and invisible what would you do?

I'd love to go down and freak them out a bit. Shove things in their mouths and flick their ears.
