I prefer not to use software. I prefer to use CDJ's or actual turntables with vinyl. However there are a number of very apt pieces of software I wouldn't have used until just recently due to processor and memory constraints when it came to responsiveness and overall performance. I use GarageBand to compose and produce. I have used Traktor to spin, but again I prefer the traditional methods. There is a new one called "djay" which works brilliantly on an iPad2 when combined with a well-equipped Mac. I have not used Serrato. I'm actually a bit wary of it.... Call me stuck in the past but I don't want proven methods of great performance to be forgotten. I was raised carrying heavy record crates. ;-)
