Life's okay! I can't complain. But don't write a lot of BS; if you're going to write something, make it something worthwhile, yes? :) Revise, edit, plot, plan....you don't 30 days to tell you when to write or how to write. Just go at your own pace and make something you're proud of.

Yes. Maybe. If Kirk manages to learn Aldo's name. xD But then yes they'll be BFFs and Kirk will follow him around everywhere and be a very annoying American and then Aldo will be all like No esperaba eso NO ME GUSTA. ;n;

It's where you (if you are in the group) redraw your character in the style of the avatar cartoon. Basically make your character look like they would if they were on the show, too. I thought it was really hard, haha. Good luck!

Oh dear oh dear oh dear I'm so sorry. If it helps, Shizon's name is a combination of the Chinese Emperor Shizong (of the later Zhou dynasty, according to my vast and extremely thorough google/wikipedia research hurrhurrno), and the fact that so many of the menfolk in the royal family have names that end in "N": Lu Ten, Sozin, Azulon. So I just dropped the n off of the end, and called it a day. It has no deeper meaning than that, I assure you, nor do I claim to be particularly inventive with my character's names. c:

Oh dear you're not socially inept, hahah. Don't worry. If it makes you feel any better, you can ask formspring questions and they appear in my inbox, and if I don't answer them they get deleted before anyone else in the internet. So you can tell me Gao smells and I'll laugh and then delete the message, and no one will know your true feelings on the matter. B)

It's not a big deal, because it's just tegaki, so I'm not too worried about it. I'd be extremely petty if I were upset about it. Just try to keep me informed. I don't have a whole lot of free time some days, and I hate rushing comments and making sloppy art. So replying takes me a while. I don't want you fretting needlessly if you surprise me with an RP entry and I'm at the studio all day working on projects or studying, and therefore don't comment quickly enough.
Secondly, I suppose I'm accustomed to an "open" form of RPing, where the players share knowledge, but the characters don't. Some people don't like that, I know, so they don't have to worry about accidentally meta-gaming, and that's fine, but I personally prefer knowing what I'm getting into before I reply. It's like checking the water for sharks before I dive in, in my opinion. And it goes both ways: sometimes I'll show entries to people half finished to get their opinion, or tell them what I'm going to do in a next string of comments so they can be prepared, and vis-versa.
Surprises are fun, yes, but not when they catch me off-guard and I have to play catch-up. So, tl;dr, no, I'm not opposed to RPing with you, but we'll just have to co-ordinate things a little better next time, yes? -
