With Dwayne McDuffie (R.I.P) taken from us, I think it's fair to say Static Shock represents one of DC Comics' biggest missed opportunities. Here you had a new generation's Spider-Man character, with an established fanbase, and DC seemingly still doesn't comprehend how that character could collect money, fans and goodwill for it.
