      No one ever told me how hard it was going to be pressing charges against my best friend. Looking back, I wouldn't have tried to protect him when talking to lawyers, and I would have spoken up more about everything I endured, and not just that one time.

      I was raped at a party. PD called the school when I was found and put me in a taxi back to campus. School didn't ask me any questions, told me they would pay for the cab "this time" and then released the details to be published in the school paper.

      my best friend was raped. she didn't report it. later, he transferred to my school and joined a fraternity that i had to give a sexual assault prevention presentation to as part of my job. he was in the crowd. i wanted to scream at him. i wish i had.

      My parents were furious when my sister got kicked out of school. It wasn't my story to tell, but I told them she had been raped last semester. She still won't talk to anyone about it. The guy messed with her head and she didn't get a rape kit done.

      2 years after it happened, my high school gf told me she was raped by a classmate...which explains why he switched to private school mid that year. I've promised myself 50 times that if I ever see him again I will make him regret it. I could live with it.

      My friends stripped me to my underwear and coerced me to give a stranger a lap dance at a party the summer before college. He touched me while I cried in plain sight and pushed him away. It's taken years for me to feel comfortable at large parties again.

      My best friend was raped while on vacation. Her parents don't know about it and she doesn't want to tell them. I think parents should openly talk to their kids about sexual assault, most of us are afraid of what they will think of us when it happens...

      "Sweetie, no one can force you to do anything," my church counselor told me when I told her a boy had forced me to do things I didn't want to do. I believed her for six years before I learned what sexual assault was. I now know better. I AM A SURVIVOR.

      we were kissing in my room. he was a friend of a friend. He told me he would leave, he just wanted to tuck me into bed first.. he got on top of me and tried to have sex. i kept resisting, he stopped, said sorry. I feel stupid for letting him in.

      Alcohol fueled party: I'm the sober chaperone. My brother had me monitor the bedrooms. Later, I heard two people in my brother's room (his guy friend at the time and a girl). She said no, I ran in, and later on she thanked me. No one talks to him now

      A religious man in the holiest of cities, he said he would help us "get out of the rain." He pushed me down and finished on my jeans. I froze, dazed but my friend pushed him off and grabbed me. Because of her, I could fight off someone else 6 mos later.

      I had said no all summer. On the last day with the support of friends, he pushed me into a bathroom stall went for my pants and told me I knew I wanted it. Two years later, I was finally able to defriend him on facebook and not feel like the bad person.

      when i was young, my grandfather would ask me for a 'goodnight kiss' almost every night before i went to bed. he was suppose to watch over me while my mom worked at night-- not take advantage of me. i felt powerless... and sometimes i still do.

      I was a Freshman in high school. I was naive & did not see it coming. He was my first kiss. I did not want to, tried to convince him to take me home. But in the end I obliged in fear of what else he might do to me. It changed me. I still cannot trust men

      I trusted him. He was more than just any uncle. He was my mentor the father figure I never had. I was sick that day and he was home and he sexually assaulted me. He wanted to rape me but I kept fighting back. He apologized later too late though.

      When I was 5, I was raped. I grew up with absolutely no innocence and no joy in life. When I was 18, I was raped again. I will not let my experiences define who I am, rather, I will overcome them and strive to help others do the same.
