Why not. I mean, I'm very generous when it comes to friends (and family). People like free stuff... I like free stuff!:) Also, I treat my friends with respect they deserve.
I'm a very secretive person, and I only have a few friends, so that would probably be what I won't like about myself... if I befriend myself.
