I'd say all hope is lost. I'm getting no traction, or even email replies from the guy who can fix it.

Bad news. Site is down in a catastrophic way, and i'm not getting any love from the guy who can fix it. still hopeful though. sorry, i know it sucks.

working on it, can;t get much love from the developer so I'm stuck.

Thanks! We should have the site up and running in a week or so. We'll add a PayPal donation link on the home page so you and the others who have volunteered some funds can contribute.

Yea. That's me. Site down for non payment of my host for the last year. They are holding the data until I give them about a grand in back payments. Working on it.

Typically when I travel, I get as many meals as practical (and polite to my hosts who want to feed me) from street vendors. My general theory is that if other mammals, specifically humans, are eating it, it's probably ok.
Seoul Korea in 1991 was no exception. As usual, everything was pretty good, or at least palatable. At one point however, I joined a group of laborers in line for some sort of deep-fried dumpling. It was a brown ball, with a greenish paste inside. I basically looked like a Korean falafel. However, it tasted like a dog had eaten a dead squirrel and pooped it out into the deep fryer. I later learned it was some sort of fermented worm paste considered comfort food to laborers from remote rural areas.
