I haven't really had any changes in habits - I've always been like this. But my Dad and Mom have influenced me the most. My changes in habit are mostly internally motivated.

Work and play are almost the same for me. Once or twice a week I hang out with friends otherwise I am at home or with a client shooting and editing.

Never watched Stargate - the initial few episodes of Galactica are awesome!

I didn't. I have been using a camera since I was 12 and I grew into it. I never really thought I wanted to be a photographer. Not planned.

Chrome - because the others are shit.

I'd buy a packet of smokes & smoke those with a couple of lattes and Coke. I would drive to Gurgaon to be with my folks, I would call up my close friends and bid adieu, announce on Twitter & Facebook that I'll be gone and sort out whatever legalities I need to sort out - pending clients, payments, my equipment - give it away / pass it on to someone else. Six hours is a very short timeframe so I would be more practical than if I had say, six months. Then I'd just leave and travel around the world.

You want to do what exactly on the web? Just design templates for websites or do you want to develop websites as well? Reading up and practicing and figuring out how User Interaction and User Experience work on the web, would help. What path to follow would depend on what it is that you want to achieve - and you need to be specific with your goals.

I like Pineapple Tang - I also love JD and Coke. And the best was this Taiwanese red sweet wine that my Dad bought - if only I could find out what wine that was, I'd never touch anything else except water :D

Mostly because the client said so. What most people, on the non-design side, do not realize is that a logo is not based on a designer's whim - it is mostly based on the brief filled-in by the client - the more specific the better. Specific briefs help introduce constraints, which are beneficial for the project unlike what is usually assumed - that the designer should be 'let loose'. Of course, I'm not saying that a lot of blue is a good idea - but a lot of clients tend to get tied down by color-definitions that they might have heard somewhere or read on the internet. Blue is a 'safe' option and most tend to take it.

The camera : a Nikon D90. In-built flash. Two lenses - I'll have to read the specs to tell you which ones. One cheap tripod. And Adobe Photoshop. Of course, none of the above matters - the shot itself does - it can be captured using whatever tools are available to you.

The best source to get ideas on creating brands is the brand itself - the client and the creative brief supplied by them. Translating those ideas to visuals is challenging - that is where the 'getting' ideas gets a little tough especially when matching client expectations needs to be a consideration as well.

Money. So that I can travel. So, travel inspires me to design! On a more 'acceptable' note, everything carries inspiration - if I'm perceptive enough, I can pick it up from anywhere.

You're asking me to define the human condition! Maybe that's how they are. Maybe they don't understand what you might construe as 'bad'. Maybe your definition of 'bad' is very off the normal acceptable levels. Or maybe it's just a misunderstanding. The best bet is to talk to the person and tell them how you feel. Maybe what you heard - about them being bad behind your back - was just untrue gossip.

You live in a cage & probably have no concept of design professionalism and value. And "we Indians" have been earning in $$ long before you were born.

A degree is only good for printing and hanging or presenting to potential employers who want to see one. A degree is not important - the education is. It's possible you've grown up prototyping toys and other stuff - so you already have the knack for it - polishing it up with some self-education - even off the internet would only ADD to your skill. More than anything else, you need to DO design.
